As part of our commitment to advancing equality and social progress, we envision a world free from discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, where LGBT people are empowered to lead healthy and productive lives. JFF makes investments that promote the mental health and well-being of LGBT people across the lifespan, empower queer youth and build the capacity of the movement for LGBT equality.

JFF has awarded more than $10 million in grants through the LGBT program since its inception.

  1. Mental Health: Invest in LGBT community centers and efforts that advance our understanding of mental health issues facing the community

  2. Youth: Promote safe schools and queer youth empowerment, and support other interventions that measurably improve the lives of young people

  3. Movement Building: Foster a strong and sustainable movement by investing in research and public education, funder collaborations and other projects with the potential for movement-wide impact
